Basic Training at Good Dog
The majority of people who bring their dogs to Good Dog are not looking for training in advanced obedience activities or “tricks.” Most have had difficulty with certain aspects of their dog's behavior, such as an unusually high energy level, stubbornness, and dominance. They just want their pets to become loving, responsive members of their families. This means that complete mastery of basic commands, such as, “sit, down, stay, come and heel”, make up the bulk of a dog’s training at Good Dog. These commands may seem quite simple. However, if a dog learns to perform them promptly in absolutely any circumstance, he/she will be a much better family member. Additionally, obedience to these commands might even save the dog’s life some day.
